...a sunny queensday

Do you recognize this? I have too much stuff (especially clothes) at home that I just don't use. There must be people who I can make happy with that. So that's the way I took my chance to sell it today on a fleamarket during queensday. And I had success! I have made alot of people happy and that's so lovely to see:). And I am happy that there is more space at home. And it gives me somehow a desire to do something with it. Not to fill it with new acquirements (don't worry Andre;)), but to see it in a fresh creative way. For example I would love to have a few little paintings with diffrent sorts of birds flying above the bed on the wall in our bedroom. What do you think about that Andre:)?

Who doesn't know! Today Catherine and William said YES I DO to each other:)! Can't wait to be the next one to say YES I DO WITH LOVE to Andre:)! The date is still unkown. We are taking our time for our preparation, because it is something that you have to do with pleasure. Pleasure that we want to carry through and share with our family and friends on our big day:)!

What do you think if you see this painting? What do you think that my inspiration was? Why is it black with a purple-green fading as background? Well actually this painting does not have a real big story behind the beginning of its existence. One of my big inspirations for paintings are flowers. They can assume beautiful forms each unique, never the same and there are so many diffrent sorts! That is something that is always inspiring and I love that. It motivates to make my brush strokes with feeling more spontaneous. And I was quite surprised by the end result (positive way;)). Do you see something floral in it:)?

Painting my nephew and niece wasn''t that easy as I thought. I wanted to capture there naughtiness, especially from my nephew. Not to make myself more difficult I made a black and white painting of them. And I think that the end result isn't that bad for the first time, right? I gave this as a present for my sister's birthday a few months ago. By the way the teapot and the cabinet are not painted! They just stand in front of the painting as decor. And somehow I love that combination. It brings some colours alive.

...fortune cookies

I just ate a fortune cookie. And are you just as curious as me what the fortune message was;)? The message was DO EVERYTHING CONSCIENTIOUS, IT'S WORTH IT. I love it and I should do that more often. Hope you will enjoy me:).

... the cherry blossom painting

Today it was again a beautiful warm sunny spring day:)! All the trees and the flowers are in the flowering.

My favorite tree, the cherry blossom unfortunately is almost overblown. But never in our livingroom. Last year I have made a painting inspired by the branches and the colours of the cherry tree. And I love it. Andre gave it a nice place just above his piano where we both can enjoy it from our couch.

...pink shoes

Today it was such a lovely warm spring day that Andre en I decided to have a picnick. When we found a good spot along a lake and had a picnick, the bright colours of the platic cups, plates and my shoes drew alot of my attention. You now must be thinking if Andre had my attention too. I just checked with him and ofcourse, we both enjoyed the picknick;).

...a cosy corner

During cycling with Andre in Utrecht last week, I saw this cosy corner. It reminds me how much I miss a garden when it is good weather (at home we have a small balcony). It must be enjoyble for the neigbhours to sit here. I love the little bit weird combination of the christmas tree light hanging on the wall, the cherry blossom tree on a beautiful spring day, and its leafs on the ground, the green tablecloth....actually everything. It makes it all lovely to see.
